CPA Firm Technology Assesment

The Technology Assessment process provides you with a good understanding of the current level of technology in your organization. This is the first step in developing a Strategic Technology Plan. The Technology Assessment will attempt to identify areas where improvements can be made and will make recommendations in areas such as infrastructure, security and personnel.

NMGI offers CPA Firms a standard Technology Assessment for a fixed fee. Many consulting firms are charging $2000-5000 per day, with the engagement cost totaling $4500-17500. The Technology Assessment includes:

  1. Initial conversations regarding firm background and needs.
  2. Review of general documents prior to NMGI’s onsite visit.
  3. Onsite visitation including interviews with key constituents, technology walkthrough, general discussions and an exit interview.
  4. Submission of Technology Assessment write-up and phone follow-up
  5. Access to additional discounts on services.

The Technology Assessment contains the following deliverables:

  1. Short term and long term actions (priority, estimated cost and timing)
  2. Findings and Recommendations
  3. Notes from the onsite visit
  4. Access to related resources (technology briefs, websites, vendors)
